It was the second half of my first class today. Let me explain:
Monday, I had the lecture part of Live Sound. Today, I had the lab section.
One class, split into two halves.
It was off campus at a place where bands come to practice, either for a tour/concert, or practice before recording a song.
Evanescence was practicing right next to us.
It’s a padded room. Almost everything is padded. If you don’t know why, it’s because you don’t want the sound from the speakers to bounce all over the place, especially onto the wall behind the console, and then back to the stage and into the microphones to create feedback. No one wants feedback. Sound feedback, that is.
It was a good class. Long, lots of information being thrown at us. Plus I was tired. Everyone was ready to leave, probably because we didn’t do anything and we were tired of learning.
We won’t be going back for two weeks, since next week someone booked our day. But that won’t be bad, I think our teacher is bringing in gear for us look at and learn with.
I’m off to bed. I have no school tomorrow, thank the Lord, so I’m going to finish Snowpeak (Twilight Princess) and hopefully move on to the next temple.
Alright, good night.
